Why we support
Blood Cancer UK

When I was first diagnosed with blood cancer, the flood of information was overwhelming and hard to navigate and I still didn’t fully understand what Hodgkin’s Lymphoma was. Then I discovered the Blood Cancer UK website, which provided clear, easy-to-digest information about the various forms of blood cancer which was a game changer - helping me understand my diagnosis and begin my journey toward recovery.

During my recovery, especially when the world was grappling with Covid-19, their service was a lifeline. The frequent updates on restrictions, support and vaccines were crucial, particularly as I was shielding due to being classified as extremely vulnerable. Staying informed about how the pandemic affected blood cancer patients gave me peace of mind and the knowledge needed to stay safe.

Now that I've recovered, I'm passionate about giving back to those currently battling blood cancer and supporting the incredible work Blood Cancer UK does. The charity is dedicated to funding vital research, raising awareness, providing essential support, advocating for equitable treatments, and promoting equality and inclusion. They’re on a mission to beat blood cancer for everyone, driving real change that makes a difference in people’s lives and gets us closer to a cure.

To support this mission, I've launched a unique line of gifts and accessories featuring one of my original illustrations inspired by the Kingfisher. I chose the Kingfisher for my design because it symbolises overcoming fears, good fortune, and freedom. This inspiration came from a Kingfisher that would sit by my living room window during the time I had chemotherapy, offering me hope and strength to carry on. With each purchase from this collection, you're helping to support Blood Cancer UK’s mission.

Together, we can make a meaningful impact. Join me in this journey to provide hope, support, and life-saving research for those affected by blood cancer.
